Under the roof
- Carved teak pillars
- Antique daybed
- Six-metre ceiling
Teak joglo with a private pool. A 90-year-old Javanese house, with a pool in front.
This joglo stood in a village near Kudus for ninety years before it was taken apart, shipped to Bali and raised again on our second terrace. The four central teak pillars still carry their original carvings.
Under that great pyramid roof is a single high room for living and sleeping, opening onto a 9 m pool and the valley.
“The four central pillars still carry their original carvings.”
