The bridge
- Timber bridge over the pond
- Koi and lotus
- Stepping stones
Water pavilion over a lotus pond. Two pavilions floating on a lotus pond.
Bale Air means water pavilion. Two open bales stand on stone piers in a pond of lotus and koi, linked by a timber bridge: one for sleeping, one for everything else.
Spring water from the hill feeds the pond and then the terraces below, so the sound of it is always there.
“The sound of water is always there.”
